The Story Shop offers fully facilitated children's birthday celebrations inside our whimsical bookstore in historic Downtown Monroe, Georgia.
Our celebration team guides the party from beginning to end, leading age-appropriate activities and keeping things moving so families can enjoy the day rather than managing every detail themselves.
Celebrations are offered in a selection of Story Shop themes — from dinosaurs and woodland fairies to Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, unicorns, and more. Each follows a planned itinerary with activities tailored to the age group, along with time for food, cake, and birthday fun.
Whether you're looking for a unique birthday party in Monroe or something a little more memorable than a traditional party venue, Story Shop celebrations are designed to feel like stepping into a story.
Children’s Birthday Celebrations
Our children’s birthday celebrations are fully facilitated from beginning to end by two Story Shop Celebration Facilitators. We decorate the Celebration Room, provide place settings, lead the activities, keep the celebration moving, and take care of the cleanup — so families can enjoy the party, too.
Ages 3–9
Our 90-minute celebrations include up to 14 participating guests. Additional participating guests may be added.

What We Do
We decorate the Celebration Room, provide place settings, facilitate every aspect of the celebration, and take care of all the cleanup.
What You Bring
You provide your own food, cake, beverages, ice, and any serving pieces you’ll need, such as platters, tongs, and serving spoons.
Baby & Bridal Showers
The Story Shop Celebration Room is also available for baby and bridal showers, with 90-minute or two-hour options for up to 20 seated guests.
Unlike our children’s birthday celebrations, baby and bridal showers are not facilitated. We provide clipboard games to serve as icebreakers and activities, along with book prizes for your guests.
